8th-Grade Pinning Ceremony Celebrates Transition to High School

ICCS 8th-graders celebrated their upcoming transition to high school at the annual Pinning Ceremony on January 31 in the Cathedral.  Honoring school tradition, students invited relatives or friends who are ICCS alumni to present them with their pin.

The pinning is a celebration of students' accomplishment, and signifies who they are, where they have been, and where they hope to go.

Circular in shape, the pin is a reminder of the everlasting love of God, our creator. The gold background is a symbol of the kingship of Jesus, our Lord and Savior, while the blue stone set in the center is a symbol of Mary, the patron saint of our school.
