100th-Year Anniversary

Click Here to support the next 100 years by making a gift in honor of a special year.

This year our alma mater will be 100 years old! Alumni are invited to contribute to the legacy of excellence in Catholic eduation by choosing one year from the school’s beginning until now to “sponsor” through a donation — your graduation year, the year you first enrolled, or a year that was significant to a loved one.  It’s a simple and fun way to celebrate the school’s 100th birthday while helping to continue the legacy of excellence in Catholic education that benefited us all.

100-Year Calendar of Events

JANUARY 28, 2022 — 100th Day of 100 Years
Each ICCS class will choose a decade from the 1920s to 2020 or the future and will dress for that decade. A classroom door decoration contest, as well as a school-wide challenge to collect 200 cans of food for the St. Vincent de Paul Society Food Bank, will be part of the fun activities.  Watch our social media for pictures and posts and share them with fellow alumni, parents and friends!

FEBRUARY 26, 2022 – Mardi Gras Dinner and Auction
All parents and alums are invited to join us for our Mardi Gras celebration as we “come home” and host this annual event on our campus in Marian Hall.  Our Mardi Gras will include an online auction that begins the week of the event, a live auction, fun dance bands, and delicious Cajun food.  To connect with our 100-year celebration, guests are invited to dress in 1920s-era Mardi Gras costumes.  Brush off your flapper skirts, add a wild and crazy mask, and laissez bons temps rouler!  Click Here for more information.

MARCH 2, 2022 – Lent
Each class will carry out 100 acts of random kindness, based on the Mercy traditions of Integrity, Community, Compassion, Service, Justice and Respect, during the Lenten season.

MARCH 25, 2022 —  ICCS Birthday Party and Fish Fry Dinner
Everyone’s invited to Marian Hall for a Lenten fish fry dinner prepared by the Cathedral’s Knights of Columbus organization. We’ll throw a birthday party for the school worthy of 100 years!

APRIL 29th, 2022 Celebration Mass and Hall of Fame Reception
We’ll celebrate Mass at noon in the Cathedral and honor our newest Hall of Fame honorees, as well as our oldest living alumni, followed by a reception In Marian Hall.

ONGOING EVENT — 100 Recipes for 100 Years
Current and previous students and their families are invited to share their all-time favorite recipes to be compiled in a keepsake recipe book.

In celebration of our 100th year, we encourage our graduates to reconnect with their classmates as we prepare to celebrate all of our alumni on April 29th. From January through April, we hope you’ll plan a gathering for your class year, five class years, or a decade get-together.  Be sure to check in on our Alumni Facebook page and share pictures of your gatherings!

Here are some ideas for your “mini-reunions”:

  • For those with small children, plan a day at the zoo for your classmates and their children.
  • Visit the Dixon Gallery or Botanic Gardens and have lunch afterwards.
  • Rent the “Sprock and Roll” party bike for a pub crawl.
  • Gather at Shelby Farms for a walk and toast the sunset.
  • Plan a picnic on the wooden deck outside the high school on our campus.
  • Take in a matinee and go for ice cream afterwards.
  • Host a progressive dinner at yours and your classmates’ homes.
  • Visit the new Downtown boutique hotels for a special cocktail in each.
  • Walk across the Harahan bridge.
  • Meet at Harbor Town, pick up takeout, and enjoy the sunset on the river.

Gatherings don’t have to be complicated, time-consuming or expensive…just planned!  Let us know if you need help planning your event.
