Parental involvement is crucial to ICCS's success and enhances your family's school experience. Just as we require our Middle School students to perform a minimum number of community service hours, we ask ICCS parents to perform a minimum of 15 hours of service to ICCS each school year. Hours are earned by volunteering for school events such as the Fall Festival and the Mardi Gras Dinner Auction, attending Home and School Association meetings, and other activities. Using the form below, please record your service hours to the school and turn your forms into the office.
Parent/Guardian School Service Form
In order for parents/guardians to be actively involved on campus (coaching, field trips, recess duty, helping in the classroom, etc.) they must complete a VIRTUS training course through the Diocese of Memphis. A listing of class offerings can be found at: http://virtusonline.org/virtus/. A copy of your certificate must be filed in the school office.
Jesus Christ gave us the eight Beatitudes in the Sermon on the Mount, recorded for all future generations in the Gospel of Matthew. Immaculate Conception Cathedral School seeks to bring that teaching of Matthew’s Gospel into practice through service to others. The message of Jesus is one of humility, charity, and brotherly love.
Immaculate Conception Cathedral School faculty and staff are committed to the religious education of the whole child. It is our unique mission to guide young people in developing a Christian social conscience and a commitment to a life of justice and peace. Religious education does not stop at the threshold of the classroom door. Therefore, all students in grades 5-8 are required to complete service hours each year they attend ICCS. Guidelines are as follows:
