ICCS Upper School Students Receive Top Three Awards in Civil Rights Art Competition

Three ICCS upper school AP art students were recognized for their civil rights-themed artwork at the Memphis Teach-In Conference held at the National Civil Rights Museum on Friday, Sept. 28.  Taking the top three awards in the contest open to all Memphis high school students were Ashley Webster '19, first place; Maggie Davis '19, second place; and Trinity West '18, third place.   The conference,"Where Do We Fo From Here?": Past, Present, and Future Roles of the Church in the Civil Rights Movement," was sponsored by MCUTS in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King's assassination.  Photos: From far left: Ashley Webster, Maggie Davis, Trinity West.
